After their first win last Saturday at the Alcott Arena, Napoli Women Basketball once again defeated Salerno Basket ’92, a team competing in the Italian Women’s Serie A2 championship in the same Group as the Napoli Women Basketball, in their second friendly match played in Salerno.
Coach Braidotti’s team won 83–56 (13–24, 33–46, 46–63, 56–83). Gesuele did not take part in the game for Napoli, while Polish player Kosla returned to the court. The leading scorers for Napoli Women Basketball were Chiovato with 16 points and Ovner with 15.
Napoli Women Basketball will return to action next weekend, September 19–20, when the Azzurre will take part in the Maddaloni Tournament, alongside the host team, Frascati (who will face Napoli in the Serie A2 championship), and Virtus Benevento.
