Napoli Basketball returns to EuroCup tomorrow, playing against Montenegro’s Buducnost Podgorica in the second day of Group C. The game will be played at Sportski Centar Moraca, with tip-off scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
After an impressive start on Serie A and European seasons, Coach Repesa’s team faces one of the competition’s top teams. Both teams won their opening EuroCup games: Napoli Basketball defeated Bourg-en-Bresse, while Buducnost cruised to a 99–75 victory in Poland against Slask Wroclav, who will be Napoli Basketball’s next European opponent. In their ABA League game over the weekend, Coach Andrej Zakelj’s team picked up a 77–72 road win in Slovenia against Krka Novo Mesto.
Marco Spissu:
“We’re expecting a challenging game, as all EuroCup games are. It comes after a hard-fought win in our latest Serie A game. This will be our first European road game, and it won’t be easy, especially considering the travel.
“We’re trying to build something important for this city. We’re going to Podgorica looking for the two points. We know we’ll face a very hostile and difficult environment. We’ll need to play with the right level of aggression from the very first minute.”
The game will be broadcast live on Sky Sport Basket, channel 205 on Sky. Live updates will also be available on Napoli Basketball’s social media channels.
