FRIENDLY GAME AGAINST TEZENIS VERONA TOMORROW

Tomorrow, Saturday, September 23 at 8:30 PM, Napoli Basket will play a preseason friendly against Tezenis Verona at the Pala AGSM AIM in Verona. Tezenis competes in Italy’s Serie A2.

This will be Coach Alessandro Magro’s third official preseason test following the win over Avellino Basket and the third-place finish at the prestigious “Lovari Trophy” in Lucca. It’s another important step in the team’s preparation ahead of the new season. Forward Savion Flagg will sit out the game as a precaution due to muscle fatigue. Napoli Basket will tip off its Serie A campaign on October 6 on the road against reigning Italian champions Virtus Bologna.

Fans can follow the game live via streaming on Scaligera Basket’s official YouTube channel: https://youtube.com/@scaligerabasketverona?si=ZbCvIycFDuoVTysl

Coach Alessandro Magro’s comments:
"We’ve just wrapped up another week of practice, one where we were able to welcome back Kaspar Treier from national team duty. His return is really important for us and is helping us quickly reestablish the balance we want heading into the regular season. Unfortunately, Savion Flagg won’t be available due to muscle fatigue, and we’re also waiting for our latest signing, Naz Mitrou-Long, who we hope to have with us starting next week. Tomorrow in Verona will be another very useful test. They’ve had an excellent preseason, playing very effective basketball under Coach Cavina, and I’m sure—and I wish—that they’ll be real contenders in their league. For us, it’s another great opportunity to gain insights and keep building as we head back to Naples.”
