Following last week’s scrimmage against Campobasso, Napoli Women Basketball played their first friendly game of the season, against Salerno Basket 92 at the Alcott Arena. Salerno compete in the Italian women’s Serie A2 championship, in the same Group as Napoli.
Coach Braidotti’s team, playing their first game at home, secured a convincing win 88-58( 22-11, 43-31, 66-42) The Polish player Kosla,, and Gesualdo were both unavailable and did not take part in the game. Napoli Women Basketball’s leading scorer was Ovner, who finished with 22 points.
Napoli Women Basketball will play their second friendly next Wednesday, September 16, travelling to Salerno to face Salerno Basket 92 in a return fixture.
