Guerri Napoli announces the signing of American player Jeff Dowtin for the 2026-2027 season. Born in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, in 1997, Dowtin is a 191-centimeter point guard.
A product of the University of Rhode Island, he played four NCAA seasons with the Rams; during the 2018-2019 seasosn, he averaged 15.3 points and 3.7 assists per game, while in his final NCAA season, he averaged 13.9 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 3.2 assists.
After his G-League first experience with the Osceola Magic, he made his NBA debut with the Golden State Warriors during the 2021–2022 season, playing four games; he then moved to the Santa Cruz Warriors (G-League), where he averaged 17.7 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. Later, he played for the Wisconsin Herd—a Milwaukee Bucks affiliate—scoring 20 points and 3.7 assists, before returning to the NBA with the Orlando Magic (averaging 3.3 points per game) and performing impressively with the Osceola Magic, the Florida G-League team, where he scored 21.2 points per game.
In the 2022–2023 season, he joined the Toronto Raptors, averaging 2.4 points, while also playing for their G-League affiliate, Raptors 905, where he scored 18.3 points and 6.5 assists per game.
In the 2023–2024 season, his great G-League performance with the Delaware Blue Coats—averaging 18.2 points and 5.1 rebounds, and posting a scoring average of over 30 points in the postseason—earned him a return to the NBA with the Philadelphia 76ers. He played two seasons there, averaging 7 points in 41 games in 2024–2025. On April 10, 2025, in a game against the Washington Wizards, Dowtin scored 30 points to help secure a Sixers victory. That same season, he returned to the Delaware Blue Coats, averaging 24.6 points while shooting over 43% from three-point range.
The 2025–2026 season marked his first major European stint with Maccabi Tel Aviv in Israel's top league. He averaged 9.6 points and 4.3 rebounds in the Winner League , while in the EuroLeague—European premier competition—he scored 8.1 points and 2.4 assists over 19 games. Guerri’s new player was also part of the USA team that competed in the 2024 AmeriCup qualifiers.
