Napoli Basketball is excited to announce the signing of Naz Mitrou-Long on a one-year deal. The Canadian-born guard, who also holds Greek citizenship, stands 6’3” and was born in Mississauga, Ontario in 1993. The club would like to thank agents Miško Ražnatović and Nemanja Zivanovic for their decisive role in making this agreement possible.
Mitrou-Long began his NCAA career in 2012 with the Iowa State Cyclones. After five seasons, he joined the G League in 2017 with the Salt Lake City Stars, and that same year broke into the NBA with the Utah Jazz, appearing in 15 games over two seasons. From 2018 to 2020, he played in the G League with the Salt Lake City Stars and the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, while also making another NBA appearance with the Indiana Pacers in 2019–20, before returning once more to the Mad Ants.
In 2021–22, he made the jump to Europe with Germani Brescia in Italy, where he put together an outstanding season under Coach Alessandro Magro, averaging 16.6 points and 4.7 assists per game while leading the team to the playoffs. The following year he joined powerhouse Olimpia Milano, winning the Italian league championship and competing in the EuroLeague, where he averaged 7.4 points across 21 games. In 2023, he signed with Zalgiris Kaunas in Lithuania, playing 10 domestic games and 9 EuroLeague contests before moving mid-season to Olympiacos in Greece. Across two years in Athens, he captured the Greek League, Greek Cup, and Super Cup titles, while also competing in the EuroLeague.
