Another game for Napoli Basketball, who tomorrow will face Unahotels Reggio Emilia in the early match of the second round of the Italian Serie A Championship. The game will be played at the Alcott Arena, with tip-off scheduled for 8:30 PM.
Coach Repesa’s team, following their winning debut in Rome and their victory in their EuroCup opener, faces another tough home challenge against Reggio Emilia. Coach Pritzis’s squad, a team that has been a major presence in Italian and European basketball for years, is coming off a narrow defeat against Dolomiti Energia Trentino on the opening day of the season, in the game played at the PalaBigi. Lorenzo Uglietti, who played for Napoli from 2020 to 2023, and Tomas Woldetensae, who wore the Napoli jersey during the 2024–25 season, are the former Napoli players involved in the game. The referees will be Grigioni, Borgo and Cassina.
Dino Repesa, Assistant Coach:
"We are fully aware of the importance of this game, even though it is only the second round. We want to continue our positive momentum after the victories we achieved in both Serie A and the EuroCup.
We know our opponents well, having faced them during the preseason at the Udine tournament. Reggio Emilia is a team that likes to play at the half court, so we will have to be smart and aware that we need to impose our style of play.
They can cause us problems in a slow-paced game. We will have to rely on all the players available to us, as we are coming off a really difficult, high-level game against Bourg-en-Bresse.
It won't be easy, but if we can bring the right level of energy to the court, we can win the game. I am confident that our fans will give us tremendous support. Their contribution could be decisive, as we saw in Wednesday's EuroCup game.”
Tickets are still available for the game, both through Vivaticket and at the box office, which will open tomorrow at 7:00 PM. The gates of the Alcott Arena will also open at 7:00 PM. The game will be available to watch live via streaming on the LBA TV platform. Live updates will also be posted on Napoli Basketball’s social media pages. Finally, the club reminds fans that the entire Serie A season featuring Napoli Basketball will be available exclusively in the USA and Canada on the YouTube channel “Napoli Basketball TV.”
