NAPOLI BASKETBALL VS PF UMBERTIDE: THE CHAMPIONSHIP. UNITIVA NAMED TITLE SPONSOR OF NAPOLI WOMEN BASKETBALL

The Serie A2 season gets start tomorrow for Unitiva Napoli Women Basketball, who will host Pallacanestro Femminile Umbertide in the opening round of Group B. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. at the Alcott Arena. Unitiva will serve as the Title Sponsor of Napoli Women Basketball.

Already the main sponsor of the club’s men’s team for more than a decade, Unitiva helps companies, institutions and organizations navigate their digital transformation journeys by developing tailor-made solutions to meet their specific needs. The company is also preparing to launch Napoli Women Basketball’s new website and will act as the club’s digital partner across a number of initiatives and events throughout the season.

Following a six-week pre-season, Coach Christian Braidotti’s team is ready for its first official game — and the first competitive match in Napoli Women Basketball’s history. Unitiva NWB will face PF Umbertide, one of the historic teams in Italian women’s basketball, with a long-standing presence in the top division. Last season, the Umbrian team reached the Serie A2 playoff quarter-finals, where they were eliminated by USE Empoli after three games.

Coach Braidotti:
“After six weeks of work, we are finally ready to get started. We are really happy and excited to begin this journey. We know we are facing a very challenging championship, with eight of the 22 teams eventually being relegated. That means every game will matter. We start right away against Umbertide, a team that had an excellent season last year, both in the Italian Cup and in the championship. They have made three changes to their roster, bringing in three high-quality players. During the pre-season, we deliberately chose to test ourselves against teams playing at a higher level because we needed to build our chemistry from the ground up. We feel we are in a good place, but we know we have to approach the season with great humility. We will be ready to fight in every game and give our very best, just as we do in every practice. We want to play an entertaining brand of basketball that can excite and engage our fans. We hope to see a great crowd at the arena.”

Admission to the Alcott Arena will be free for the opening game of the championship. The game will also be available to watch free on live stream, exclusively for the first matchday, on LBFTV through the official Lega Basket Femminile website.
