After losing 72–64 in Saturday’s semifinal against Panthers Roseto, a team competing in Serie A1 , Napoli Women Basketball were defeated in the third-place final of the Campobasso tournament by Polisportiva Battipagliese, another team competing at the highest level.
Coach Braidotti’s team lost 85–64. Napoli Women Basketball’s top scorers were Botteghi and Kosla, with 13 points each. Napoli Women Basketball will return to play next Sunday, October 4, at 6:00 p.m., when they host Umbertide at the Alcott Arena in the opening round of the women’s Serie A2 championship.
