A press conference was held today ,at the Napoli Basket headquarters ,to introduce the team’s new players Jahmi'us Ramsey, Jeff Dowtin Jr. and Andrej Jakimovski. Also in attendance were the club’s General Manager, James Laughlin, and Sporting Director Francesco Cavaliere.
Ramsey: “I’m very happy to be here. I’m a very religious person, and I believe that Jesus guided me in making my decision. My wife and I chose Naples after speaking with General Manager James Laughlin and Coach Repesa, and I’m convinced that I made the right choice. We worked in Slovenia, which is a wonderful place, to start building the team chemistry that will be crucial throughout the season. I want to continue along my path of development. This year, the goal is to win. If we achieve success, there will be a fantastic atmosphere among the fans, the team and throughout the city.”
Dowtin Jr.: “We have everything we need to have a great season. We want to be protagonists in every competition we take part in. It will be a very demanding year, and there will be ups and downs, but the team has to be aware that we can achieve great things. I’m happy to be part of such an exciting project. The club has great ambitions, just like I do. Coach Repesa demands a great deal of work on both ends of the court. I want to make myself available to the team and do everything he asks of me in order to win games.”
Jakimovski: “I had no doubts about choosing this project. I know Naples, I played here last year, and I know that it’s a very passionate basketball city with one of the best fan bases in Italy. We have a deep and talented roster, with a lot of excellent players. We can make our mark both in the Italian league and in the EuroCup. Last year I played in Europe, so I know that the physical level of the game will increase significantly. Coach Repesa was one of the reasons that led me to accept Napoli’s offer. It’s an important project, and we hope we can achieve our goals.”
