Press conference with Sankare, Seljaas Tarczewski and White Today, a press conference was held at the Napoli Basketball headquarters to introduce the team’s new player: Kaleb Tarczewski, Zac Seljaas, Jack White and Assane Sankare. Also present were the club’s General Manager, James Laughlin, and Sporting Director, Francesco Cavaliere.
Tarczewski: “I’m very happy to be back in Italy, a country I love and that I have missed a lot. Coach Repesa was my first coach here in Italy. I also worked for six years with Giustino Danesi, our strength and conditioning coach, and I’m happy to be reunited with them. I want to help all my teammates improve during what will be a long and important season. The atmosphere in the locker room will be crucial to achieving our goals. I’ll try to bring my physicality and my desire to win onto the court.”
White: “I’m excited about this new adventure. I’m convinced that I’ve joined an important club with a very ambitious project. I met Coach Repesa before the preseason, in Croatia. He’s a great coach and an excellent person. I believe the team has what it takes to have a fantastic season. There are highly qualified people within the organization, as well as on the coaching staff. We’re ready to do well.”
Seljaas: “I had no doubts about choosing the Napoli project from the very beginning. I really like the city, and it’s a wonderful environment both for me and my family. We had a great preseason, building a solid group that can achieve great results. Coach Repesa asked me to bring my teammates the experience I gained over the past few seasons, when I played in European competitions. I immediately had a very positive impression of everyone involved in this project.”
Sankare: ”Sono qui a Napoli per crescere come uomo e come giocatore. So che ci sarà da lavorare tanto ma, allo stesso tempo, condividere lo spogliatoio con giocatori di grande talento ed esperienza sarà molto importante per me. Coach Repesa è esigente ed io voglio fare di tutto per farmi trovare pronto in questa stagione cosi lunga ed entusiasmante."
