Guerri Napoli announces the signing of Isaiah Whaley. The American player, born in 1998 in Gastonia, North Carolina, is a 6'7" (203 cm) forward.
Product of the University of Connecticut, he had his best season in the NCAA in 2020-21, averaging 8 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 2.6 blocks. In 2022-23, he played in the G-League with the Greensboro Swarm, averaging 7.8 points and 5.5 rebounds. The following season, Whaley had his first European experience, in Germany with Heidelberg, playing an excellent season in the German top division, averaging 11.4 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per game. Then He moved to Russia, playing for Lokomotiv Kuban, averaging 7.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks per game, also playing in the VTB playoffs.
This season, the new Guerri Napoli player played in the Turkish League with Tofas Bursa, averaging 5.3 points per game, 4.2 rebounds. He also played in Europe with the Turkish team, playing in the Basketball Champions League, averaging 6.2 points per game and 3.8 rebounds.
