Dino Repesa, Assistant Coach Napoli Basketball:
“This game is a gift for our entire organization. We have worked very hard since the beginning of training camp, and for this reason, the game against Milano will be an important test to assess our level.Olimpia Milano have won the last four major national trophies. I expect a fast-paced game, starting with our defense. We will need to be smart and make the most of our aggression from the very first possessions. I am sure the fans, as usually, will turn out in force and become our sixth man on the court. You cannot win games like these without the support of the crowd, especially against a powerhouse like Olimpia Milano.”
The Alcott Arena is expected to be sold out. The gates will open at 10:30 a.m. The game will be broadcast live on Sky Sport 1 (Sky channel 201) and Sky Sport Basket (Sky channel 205), and streamed live on LBA TV. Updates will also be available on Napoli Basketball’s social media channels. Fans in the United States and Canada can watch all of Napoli Basketball’s Serie A games exclusively on the club’s YouTube channel, “Napoli Basketball TV.”
Unitiva Napoli Women Basket, currently top of Group B in Serie A2 with two wins from two games, will take to the court at 8:00 p.m. against Passalacqua Ragusa. Following their impressive victory in Matelica, the Napoli women face a very tough challenge against the Sicilian side, one of the leading contenders for promotion. Ragusa won its home game against Matelica before having a rest day in the second round of the championship.
Cristian Braidotti, Coach Unitiva NWB:
“We have completed a good week of training. The girls are ready, and we can’t wait to play this game against a high-level opponent. We take it one game at a time, with the goal of securing our place in the league as soon as possible. As always, we will be ready to give our maximum effort and fight for every ball, while assessing our level against a strong team like Ragusa. We hope to put on an entertaining display of basketball and continue to engage more and more of our fans.”
