PalaBarbuto is an indoor sports facility in the city of Naples. It is named after Lello Barbuto, a historic figure in Neapolitan sports journalism.

How to reach us

Cumana - from Torregaveta:

  • Take the Cumana train towards Montesanto
  • Get off at Edenlandia station (it is the closest stop to PalaBarbuto).
  • From the terminus, the journey takes approximately 30-35 minutes.

From Mostra station to PalaBarbuto: Once you get off at Mostra station, PalaBarbuto is about a 5-10 minute walk away. It is located on Via Giochi del Mediterraneo, in the Fuorigrotta sports complex area, near the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.


Cumana - from Montesanto:

  • Take the Cumana train towards Torregaveta
  • Get off at Edenlandia station (it is the closest stop to PalaBarbuto).
  • From the terminus, the journey takes approximately 15-20 minutes

From Mostra station to PalaBarbuto: Once you get off at Mostra station, PalaBarbuto is about a 5-10 minute walk away. It is located on Via Giochi del Mediterraneo, in the Fuorigrotta sports complex area, near the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.

Metro - line 2

From Piazza Garibaldi, get off at Cavalleggeri Aosta station.

The nearest train station is Bagnoli-Agnano Terme, from which you can reach the PalaBarbuto on foot in a few minutes.

Car - ring road

  • From the ring road, take the “Fuorigrotta” exit.
  • Follow the signs for “Stadio San Paolo/Mostra d'Oltremare”
  • Continue straight on Via Cinthia for about 1-2 km.
  • Turn right onto John Fitzgerald Kennedy Boulevard
  • Continue on Via Giochi del Mediterraneo
  • The PalaBarbuto is located on Via Giochi del Mediterraneo, near the sports complex.


Highway - from Rome (A1, Autostrada del Sole)

  • Follow the A1 to Naples North
  • Take the Naples ring road towards Pozzuoli/Tangenziale
  • At the ring road, take the “Fuorigrotta” exit (exit 5)
  • Follow the route already described via the ring road (Via Cinthia → Viale JFK → Via Giochi del Mediterraneo)


Highway - from BARI/FOGGIA (A16 Napoli-Canosa)

  • Follow the A16 to the end
  • Take the Naples ring road towards Pozzuoli.
  • Take the “Fuorigrotta” exit (exit 5)
  • Follow the route already described via the ring road (Via Cinthia → Viale JFK → Via Giochi del Mediterraneo)



Highway - from SALERNO 
(A3 Napoli-Salerno):​

  • Follow the A3 to Naples
  • Continue on the ring road towards Pozzuoli
  • Take the “Fuorigrotta” exit (exit 5)
  • Follow the route already described via the ring road (Via Cinthia → Viale JFK → Via Giochi del Mediterraneo)

Highway - from CASERTA (A30 Caserta-Salerno):

  • Dall'A30 immettiti sulla Tangenziale di Napoli
  • Head towards Pozzuoli until the “Fuorigrotta” exit
  • Follow the route already described via the ring road (Via Cinthia → Viale JFK → Via Giochi del Mediterraneo)
