The team coached by Emanuele Fiore was defeated by Pallacanestro Varese 94–79 after a game that remained fairly balanced until halftime, but was ultimately decided in the third quarter, where Varese pulled away with a 32–24 run.
For Napoli, standout performer Saccoccia delivered an impressive 36-point outing. Strong contributions also came from Sow and Esposito, who added 19 and 13 points respectively.
