Napoli Women Basketball team, coached by Braidotti, won the first Tournament in Maddaloni, held in memory of athlete Sofia Di Vico, who passed away prematurely.
The tournament took place at the Pala Angioni-Caliendo, where Napoli Women Basketball defeated Club Basket Frascati 71–67 in the final. Frascati compete in the women’s Serie A2 championship, in the same group as Napoli Women Basketball.
After beating the host team Maddaloni convincingly 90–22 in yesterday’s semifinal, Coach Braidotti’s team also woncon the final against Club Basket Frascati, thanks to the great performances of Grattini and Kosla, who were the game’s leading scorers with 14 and 13 points respectively. Emilia Kosla was named MVP of the tournament.
Before the Serie A2 championship gets start on October 4, Napoli Women Basketball will compete next weekend in the Campobasso Tournament, where they will face Magnolia Campobasso, Panthers Roseto, and PB63 Battipaglia, A1 teams.
