Unitiva Napoli Women Basketball returns on the pitch tomorrow to face Salerno Basket 92 in a game valid for the fourth day of Group B of the Italian Women’s Serie A2 Championship. The game will be played at the PalaSilvestri in Salerno, with tip-off scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
Following their defeat against Ragusa in the previous round, Azzurre are now preparing for the derby against the Salerno team. Both teams are part of a crowded group of teams sitting in second place in the standings, with 4 points, 2 wins and 1 loss. Salerno Basket 92 started the season with an away win against Alghero and a home victory over San Raffaele Basket. However, last weekend they suffered an 87–40 defeat against Alcamo. Unitiva Napoli Women Basketball and Salerno faced each other twice during the preseason, with Azzurre winning on both occasions. The game will be officiated by referees Pietro Rodia and Marcello Del Gaudio.
Coach Braidotti:
“We are facing a team that, compared to the preseason friendlies, has added an important player to its perimeter positions. They are a more balanced team and are coming off an excellent start to the season.
We must be aware that this will be a very different game from the preseason friendlies we played against Salerno. We need to respect our opponents and be ready for a game that demands great defensive intensity and concentration, while trying to run the floor for all 40 minutes.”
The game will be available via live streaming on Flima TV, accessible through the website www.legabasketfemminile.it .
