A fantastic debut for Guerri Napoli in the opening day of the first phase of the IBSA Next Gen Cup, currently taking place in Verona and Villafranca di Verona. The team, coached by Emanuele Fiore, edged out UNA Hotels Reggio Emilia 73–72 at the end of a hard-fought and balanced contest. Napoli led the way in the first quarter, and the game was ultimately decided in the final period with a 23–15 run in favor of Guerri.
Worth highlighting is the outstanding performance by Sow, who was decisive down the stretch and finished with 24 points. Strong contributions also came from Saccoccia and Esposito, who added 17 and 13 points respectively. Guerri Napoli will be back on the court tomorrow at 12:30 PM to face Pallacanestro Varese in the second day of the IBSA Next Gen Cup.
